Our mission
Care that reaches families other organizations pass by
Fatima's Charity was founded to stand beside families in the Banaadir region who are caring for a loved one with a severe physical or developmental disability — often with no other support in reach. We work directly with families, providing what each situation calls for and building a community around people who are too often left isolated.
We are recognized as a 501(c)(3) public charity by the IRS, and our work is grounded in the dignity of every person we support, regardless of the severity of their condition.
What we do
Our programs
Direct family support
Ongoing assistance for families caring full-time for a child, sibling, or spouse with a severe disability — reducing the isolation and burden they carry alone.
Basic needs & care items
Mobility aids, bedding, and everyday essentials for individuals who cannot access them on their own — delivered directly to the household.
Community & dignity
Regular visits and a caring presence for individuals and families who would otherwise face their situation without any outside support.
Our impact
Families we walk alongside
Since 2023, we've supported individuals of every age across the Banaadir region — from toddlers to elders — each living with a significant disability and each part of a family working hard to care for them.
Maleka, 45 — lives with a significant physical disability and is cared for by her sister.
Xamze, 7 — born with a severe disability, supported by his parents with our help since 2024.
Ruqiyo, 10 — living with a physical and developmental disability, cared for by both of her parents.
